VAX 4000 System

VAX 4000The VAX 4000 family of systems were well-balanced, dependable systems suitable for commercial and technical application environments such as small businesses, research labs, warehouses, and shop floors.

Their powerful CPUs, with enhanced disk, memory, and Ethernet performance, offered high system reliability and the flexibility to respond to changing business requirements.

VAX 4000The Rackmount MicroVAX 3100 systems included 64 MB or 128 MB of memory, 1.05 GB disk, CD-ROM drive, OpenVMS base license, and NAS 200 software.

The Rackmount VAX 4000 Model 108 included 64 MB or 128 MB of memory, 2.1 GB DSSI storage with an embedded DSSI-to-SCSI adapter, 2.1 GB SCSI disk, CD-ROM drive, OpenVMS base license, and NAS 200 software.

  • Mini-tower enclosure with rackmountable shelf assembly
  • Six in-box storage slots, and up to 19.2 GB in-box capacity
  • 16 and 38 VUP performance
  • 64 MB memory (Models 88, 98, and 108) and 128 MB (Models 98 and 108) memory Advantage Server Packages
  • 512 MB memory capacity using SIMM memory
  • OpenVMS V5.5-2 compatible
  • Systems use 8.75 inches of rack space in standard 19-inch wide ANSI/EIA racks and cabinet enclosures and offer the same features as desktop servers
